So this morning I'm driving to work and all is fine and all of a sudden my '89 535i chimes a bell and a message shows up on the idiot console that says something like "Warning 38+ degrees" and the computer read-out changes from the time of day I had it set to, to a temperature reading of 38+ degrees. I flip the computer back to time and then back to temp and sure enough it's 38 degrees outside. So is this some cute little message warning to let the driver know that it's getting close to freezing, thus watch your driving, or is this some sort of engine warning. The engine temp gauge was ready dead center, so I know the engine wasn't over-heating.
