You could also take a big rock, smash the windshield, and then you'd have justification to replace it.

Many US states have compulsory windshield replacement via insurance (at no cost to you). I didn't tell you that.

...or so the legend goes. Make sure you get the right kind (not the bathroom cleanser) and test in an inconspicuous area. It helped on my E30 winshield. BMW windshields are notorious for being soft.


The windshield on my car is ugly. I would describe it as being 'hazed'. Lots of little tiny nicks in it. If the sun hits it it's like having a sheet thrown over the car, I can't see out. I'm wondering if I can do something to help clear this up, or do I need to buy a new windshield?
