I am embarking on adventure in automechanics this weekend. Recently I purchased a 90% complete turbo kit from a mechanical engineer (Thank you, Andre!) and plan on starting the surgery this Friday night. The hard part that I want out of the way is getting the stock manifold off and the new manifold, downpipe, wastegate, and turbo on. Then of course all the water and oil lines. The part that is giving me some discomfort is drilling the hole in the crankcase for the oil return from the turbo. Corky Bell from Bell Engineering gave me some good info and a template to make sure I get it right, but I still am somewhat leery of this procedure. I mean, drilling a hole in the block! If any body is interested in installation procedures just let me know and I will be more than happy to see what my literary skills can produce. Anyway- I just want to let you all know what I am up to and that I will keep you updated.
