I'd carefully spray them with whatever you are putting on your tires. NoFoam, ArmorAll, etc.

A wax would cake up and make white spots.

I'm sure there must be other options too.

Might try carefully scrubbing them - just the panels - with softscrub and a very soft brush to clean them up. Worked well on mine. Of course, be careful with the softscrub as it is an abrasive!

Not sure if the rocker panels are just painted metal, rubber, or plastic - 95 525 - but it sure does look dull. What can I put on them to get that deep black shine back?
