I don't know, I have very weird thoughts that pass through my mind every now and then and I'm just seeking some opinions on the matter. Seems my headliner is falling down (a condition my brother and I lovingly refer to as "Chrysler top") and is due to be replaced. Now the dilemma: the interior of my 535 is what I believe is called "natural beige", or basically a very dark tan (somewhere between brown and khaki). I had the crazy idea to switch to black when I replace it (it's something that's an option on X5's called an anthracite headliner). Id' also have to replace the visors (which are broken anyway) as well as the fabric on the sunroof, the fabric around the sunroof button, all four of the "oh-$#!+" handles, the A- and C-pillars, and those felt strips around the doors (nothings wrong with any of those). While I'm at it I might as well replace the rear shelf as well. The whole problem is that I could spend all of the money to do this and have it end up looking horrendous. Or I could do it and have it turn out to be the coolest thing in the world. Has anyone out there every tried something like this? Or even seen it? I'm just looking for any opinions anyone might have. I'm just not a big fan of the interior color of my car, so that's why I'm considering such insanity.
On another note, I placed my order for the Schroth harnesses I "won" at the O'fest auction. The guy recommended the Ralleye 4's so I hope they work out. At any rate I'll keep everyone posted on how that turns out.
Thanks for letting me ramble on about one my crazy ideas and giving me feedback (I'll save the one about flared fenders for later). And please excuse my spelling.
