Have 2 525iTs '92 has strip pin stripes, '93 is painted on, be careful.
The pinstripe isn't painted on, but it may seem like it is when you try and take it off. Best bet its to use a hair dryer or a heat gun and warm the stripe before carefully peeling it off. Then you'll have to polish the car with a high speed buffer in order to even out the finish. It worked great for my 535i (I can't believe someone put the stripe on there in the first place).
