I have stillen's on both 525iTs. The '93 had two rotor changes during warrentee by dealer with oem parts. After warrentee ended the rotors warpped, I installed stillen cross drilled rotors, now have 177K miles same rotors and pads (oem) and this is wifes car, so method of driving has not changed. The '92, my car got first set this month, so don't know if they will last the same. I think they have much better stopping power and have not warpped like OEM rotors.

What brand of cross drilled do you use? I have always heard that they warp faster, and that there's no substantial difference unless you're a hardcore racer.

I have cross drilled brake for 5 years... front only. Brake pad last alot longer, stop power is phenomenal. The only quirk about it is at high power stopping, you will hear a low whining of the rotors which is the result of echoing of all vibrations.

Lastly, do not wash the car after driving... always wait till car cool down a bit... like 30 minutes or an hour.
