I think that the limit on the tires is the max that you should go on that tire. The spec on the car is for that car as long as you dont exceed the limit on the tires. Go with the car limit.



When I upgrade to 17"'s I plan on starting out with 40frnt/38 rear...why do they say you shouldn't exceed these values recommended by the factory?

Some people say stick with the tire's recommended PSI, but I heard once (I think I read it in the BMW Enthusiast's Guide)that you should always go with the mfr's PSI instead of the tire's?

Any advice??
