John, Have you ever tried to remove a BMW factory VIN # from a body panel? All replacement BMW factory body panels have DOT-R on the tag instead of the VIN #. I challange you to remove the DOT-R sticker, and replace it with the original sticker used from the original body panel. Let's see if you can replace the rear 1/4 panel without making it look so obvious. These were disigned to discinagrate if tampered. If a body shop tries to do this then "Shame on Him" Regardless, any trained expert can tell you if any body panels were replaced

What I said is the sport edition in 95 was BMWs' answer to the M5 for that year, using the 282hp V8 and the M5 upgrades.

In late 95, all 6spds were "sport models" production continued till late 95, early 96
All sport models had traction control,Yes it was an option for the 94, and 95 540ia and 6spd.

The in production date determines when your warranty expires.
