Latest issue of Bimmer magazine has step-by-step instructions w/ photos. Cost is about $400.
Looks fairly easy to do.

Did I miss it? Anyway, if not, maybe someone can give us the rundown on doing the "Ford HID" conversion that's been discussed lately on the board.

Maybe some areas to cover..??

- cost of parts
- labor time
- "complications" if any
- tools and the like required
- type of lights converted (reg or elips)

..and ...most of all... was it worth it??? How much more light do you have? How happy were you with the light output prior to the conversion?

The lighting in my US spec elips pretty much sucks. I'd love to convert if looks good!

Pics would be WAY COOL!

If there any people in the Seattle area who've done the conversion, I'd offer to photo document the setup with my digi camera.
