do you prefer wide or narrow kidneys? (archive)

I have the opportunity to change to the wide kidneys as my car's front-end is about to go thru a repair.
Has anyone here done this? If so, do I have to get diffrent headlight assemblies? I know I need the appropriate hood. Once I have the right parts, will everything fit easily?

I am getting new headlight assemblies, grills, kidneys and a new hood as my front-end was recently in a smash-up.
