Think I know where I can get one.

I'd like to add the factory keyless entry/alarm system the car is prewired for, and I want to buy the necessary part(s) used. Anyone done this?

You could use the BMW stock alarm and plug it into the prewired alarm harness, or you can find an Alpine 8040, 8080, 8020, etc. They should all work. as they are the same as the stock alarm. I think the 8020 is the one that they used. If you get a stock alarm and need a remote, the Alpine 8440 will work great.

Thanks... tom
