E34 CD changer wanted (archive)

I just picked my 540i 6-speed yesterday (yeah) but the car didn't come with a CD changer. I can't live too long like this. I would like to install a BMW chager so that I can get it properly connected to the rest of the system.

Are there any noteworthy differences between the Alpine and the Pioneer units that I should know about?

Any pointers to a source for a unit, other than a dealer, would be greatly appreciated. If anyone has one that they would like to part with, let me know.
