Sounds really cool though. Anyway, the autocross was cancelled. The Porsche folks knew it, the VIper folks knew it, but somehow along the line the Porsche club (tthe ones who organized it) forgot to pass the word along to the BMW club. We found this out at 11, so nice of them to tell us earlier. So we made the best of a bad situation and improvised. I'm not at liberty to say any more, but we did have fun. Anyway I guess the Porsche club people didn't want to get there trailors wet. They're such little girls sometimes (no offense to any Porsche owners on this forum).
So kind of disappointing, but not bad when it was all said and done. Sorry that the car in Birmingham didn't work out. If you want a '95 white on black 525 (with an auto, unfortunately) I know where one is. Keep fighting the good fight though, that five speed will come around soon.
