Last week I posted a message asking about how much heat I should be getting from '91 525i. I followed the suggestion and had the coolant flushed and replaced. Also replaced the thermostat. Also asked them to replace the micro filter, There was none there! so simply installed a new one.

Before and after the service heater output is the same. The temperature gauge gets just barely over the blue in normal driving. If parked idling it gets a little higher. Today it was -15C and there was enough heat but what about when winter arrives?

Should I block the front of the radiator?

Charlie, Winnipeg Canada
