I think I'm being misunderstood. Let's see if I can make this as short and simple as possible. No more big words.

Trucks are good at being trucks. Lowering them, putting 20" wheels on them, etc. compromises their truckness. They still can't hold a candle to most cars as far as performance, comfort, and safety, and they suck as trucks now, too. So, I ask you, is the way a lowered truck looks really worth the compromise? There is a huge number of alternatives, that most people would probably be much happier with, except the current truck fad is blinding them. People have a 'herd mentality' that causes them to want to imitate everyone else.

Anyway, I'm not trying to offend, only enlighten. Apparently, it's lost on you.

Now that you put it that way, art isn't supposed to be rational, and, in my own way, I am being an artist by personalizing my trucks. This is true. On the same note, those of us who personalize our Bimmers by lowering them and slapping on some rims and different lights and the like are also being irrational.

I am now unoffended by Joe's "irrational" comments but still offended by the fact that he's putting me and all other truck owners down. Oh well. He'll get over it, as will I.

At least I know that you and the majority of the people on this board aren't offended by the fact that I own a BMW and a couple of *gasp!* American-made trucks.
