thanks to all for the comments/advise. I picked up my 530i last night after the dealer performed a distribution test and fuel injection flush, both at no cost to me. I must say, the idle does feel better. They replaced the intake manifold foam 2 weeks ago, which didn't improve anything, but I think the fuel injection flush was the trick. They said they flushed the system twice as the fuel lines are extremely lengthy. The dealer also said the distribution tests yielded near perfect results, which is to be expected from a brand new short block, tuned valves, etc, etc.

So I a happy camper right? Wrong. This morning while filling up at Chevron, coolant started dumping onto the ground. So I nursed it to my dealer that was just down the street = radiator went out, new one getting installed Wed morning under CPO warranty = $50 deductible. God I love this car

95 530i
