rear heat not so hot (archive)

Gents, maybe you can help me out here. Even with the heat coming out through the dash vents on high (believe me, it's like summer) the rear seat heater vent blows cold air. Is there something I'm doing wrong here? Or is it just that the hot air is getting cooled down as it passes through the tranny tunnel?

Also, my wipers skip on the window, making that farting sound even though the wipers are new. Does anyone have a solution. I was thinking about taking one end of the wiper arm spring off and twisting it to make it tighter and putting it back on, because it seems like if i press lightly on the wiper arm it stops. Does this sound like good logic?
