Sure it does, it does so on the basis of how hard
you are driving.
BMW drivers are accustomed to a higher level of
performance in the dry/wet. When we mentally
decide to backoff to accomodate icy/slippery
conditions, it is sometimes not enough. On ice,
I have to remind myself reduce
my speed/performance by a far greater margin
than I do for my brothers ES300. I am of the
opinion that this is an important factor for why
so many high performance sporty cars are in the
ditch after the first snow/ice storm.
