Don't you already have the on board computer (OBC) in your car?

On the OBC there's a button that in the upper left corner that can be used to switch between centigrade and fahrenheit or miles per hour to kilometers per hour. I believe this also switches between regular an military time when it's pushed when the time is being displayed.

I have a 1993 525ia with just the regular Clock/Date/Temp computer. Just in the last week the clock every now and then goes to Milatary time...has anyone else noticed this? I checked the manual on this and it mentioned nothing.

Also, Could I buy one of the Trip Computers(the one that averages your MPG, Arrival time, Miles left in tank, etc etc) and plug it right in to the existing clock area, or do you need something else? If so, what do I need to get? Where can I get the computer and parts?

Thanks in advance,
