My 525 has a plain clock that only performs three functions:

--Time
--Date
--Temp

Does anyone know if I can upgrade it to the On Board Computer without any major problems? Can I just buy a OBC and plug it right in to the existing spot or is it more complicated than that?

Thanks in advance,

--Kiser

I was at the BMW dealer last week. I only have the clock, also, but one of the elements is burned out which means it is difficult to tell the difference between a 5 and a 9. The BMW parts man told me that I COULD NOT replace the clock with an OBC; that the car was not wired for it. I would be interested to know if anyone else has better knowledge. Also, I was told that I couldn't fix the bad element and I would have to buy a new clock for $250. That's why I asked about the OBC.

Tim

hey Tim if your clock only lichts up half way you just have to replace one of the two lichtbulbs that are mounted at the top of it, remove your radio pull the handdle behind the clock and put new bulbs in it. wim
