I saw someone answer your subsequent post about the possibility of replacing your current clock/date/temp computer with an OBC if you have the right connector. As an answer to where you might be able to obtain one, I'm sure you could get one from the stealer. However, I'm sure you would be paying a pretty penny for one. However, if you want to save some money you might check some of the recyclers. Either way I still would start with the dealer, at least to get a price. You might also check to see how interchangable they are between years or get someone on this board to check their part number CD's to see if the same part number is used on different year BMWs. Also beware that even if you decide to buy it at the stealers it would probabaly not be returnable since it's electrical. If you decide to try out a used one, here's some numbers for used BMW parts that I got out of the Bimmer magazine. You might try them to see if they have an OBC and what they would charge.

I have a 1993 525ia with just the regular Clock/Date/Temp computer. Just in the last week the clock every now and then goes to Milatary time...has anyone else noticed this? I checked the manual on this and it mentioned nothing.

Also, Could I buy one of the Trip Computers(the one that averages your MPG, Arrival time, Miles left in tank, etc etc) and plug it right in to the existing clock area, or do you need something else? If so, what do I need to get? Where can I get the computer and parts?

Thanks in advance,
