The interior mirror has a photo sensitive cell in it that reacts to bright light and auto dips.

There is a sensitivity adjustment on the mirror, all the way to the left the mirror does not dip, all the way to the right and it stays dipped any thing in between and it dips for you. It is only active when the side lights or head lights are on.

It is fun cruising home of an evening with the sunroof open, as you pass under street lights..dip, undip, dip, undip...Passengers love it.

Isn't this a common feature on your cars? Once you have the sensitivity set to suit yourself it is a great gadget and works very well.
