Hey guys,
You're right! It is a loose clip. To repair the clip that rattles, remove the rear seat entirely. Lift sharply straight up where the rear passengers legs would be. This will undo the clips for the bottom seat. Once that seat is out of the way, There are 4 bolts that hold the seat back into position. The bentleys shows these bolts. Once the back seat is out of position you should be able to pull straight out on the parcel shelf to remove it, be careful of the speaker wiring. The shelf comes out as a unit, the speakers will stay in place. Lift gradually while pulling to clear the rear pillars. Then viola! The shelf is out. Look in the rear of the shelf and you will see two or three clips that fit under a lip below the rear window. You can fit folded paper or cardboard between the clip and the backing of the package shelf to take up the play, just make sure it is tight again. Replace everything and you once again have a rattle free parcel shelf! I did this to mine and it took about 30 minutes. Good Luck.

I think a clip or something must have broken somewhere on my rear shelf, it started rattling badly a few weeks ago. By shoving foam up underneath I can make it go away for awhile, but I would like to fix it right. Does anyone know how to remove the shelf? Bentley doesn't give a description and I couldn't see obvious screws.

Thanks,
Sean
