I had the same experience as you when I have flushed my cooling system. But, when I changed my t-stat, I had to bleed over and over again to avoid overheating. By the way, nice site!! :o)

When I flush my coolant, I had to bleed the car only once...
The car never overheated. I think you have to poor the coolant very slowly with the bleed screw open, the rest is explained in the website.
