Let's just say that the younger set may not know the source. :-) I too hear it in that voice (that was Eric Idle right?)... and anyway I'm kind of burned out on the parrot. What about "Ethel the Aardvark Goes Quantity Surveying" (one of the bookstore routines)?

Thought every one had heard that bit... sorry Monty!!! God, when i read it i hear it in that voice... am rolling on the floor. It ain't the "demised parrot" but it sure is good?
