Hey all,
Wrapped with the Bridgestone Potenza 730's the new bolted crosspokes are in place and I might say, they look great and the handling is improved through turns.
The suspension has yet to be done, (still waiting for the Sach's shipment to arrive from europe via slow boat).
The major difference between the 8x17's and the stock 7x15's is the low speed road noise. The Dunlop SP 5000's 7x15's ran extremely quiet throughout any speed. You can hear a slight roar (very slight) from 10-25mph with the new wider setup. Once you are at speed,(any speed) the sound is gone. After reading many posts from others about ride harshness after going to a plus-2 setup, I can honestly say that the plus-2 setup is nominal. The steering is more precise and the amount of body roll has been reduced. I am hoping that the new Sach's spring setup will reduce the roll even more. With 125,000 miles on the original suspension, I'm sure to see an improvement. The "gap" left by not having the car lowered yet doesn't look as bad as I expected, especially with this type of wheel. It will however look 100% better after it is lowered. I will post pictures after the Sach's are installed and post the results. As for now, I'm pretty darn pleased. Thanks for letting me ramble on. Just wanted to share with you.
