Normally to remove the rear view mirror you simply pull the base back at a 90 degree angle and it pops off leaving the mounting tab on the windshield. Since yours came with it, I suspect you'll have to pry the tab off starting at the bottom first and upward at an angle. To mount the mirror after reattaching the tab you place it over it and rotate clockwise 30 degrees appx.

I hit a huge pothole this weekend and my rearview mirror simply popped right off of the windshield. The attachment button came off with it. Has anyone reattached their mirror lately and can offer some advice? I bought some rearview mirror adhesive at WalMart, but it says I need to attach just the button before mounting the mirror. I looked at the mirror and couldn't figure out how to separate them. I then checked my Bentley's and found that they didn't cover it at all. So I need some help.
