We don't get nearly that much snow here (Western WA) but the eastbound highways are a problem.

Went East last Sat, started @ 6:30 pm for a 300 mi round trip. On the way back, it was snowing furiously that I couldn't use high beams at all - the snow was dense and blinding me.

I90 was covered with deep snow, hardly any other cars. The highlight was when I stopped on the shoulder (snow fight, shooting with the moviecam)(a large 18wheeler passed by doing 60mph !!) and I started again. ASC light very busy, so me thinks I should stop and go again without ASC. Well - guess what - slightly inclined, no asc - barely any tire spin ! Seemed to me like it was faster too.. Of course, no chains or winter tires.

(There was another highlight, when we hit bare dry pavement - I was doing almost 120 when I noticed a structure mounted on the top of a car I was almost passing - cop car, of course : brake back to 70 just in time. That was _close_, besides being stupid..)
