In Reply to: What size SOCKET for removing REAR BEARING nut posted by bimmaman on December 11, 2000 at 20:37:03:

I remember replacing my rear wheels bearing. Although I thought it a nightmare during the first few days (yes DAYS!), when I finally drove the car away, I felt very accomplished. I dont remember exaclt what size the nut was, but it is the biggest socket in my collection. I though it was 36mm, but if it isnt fitting easily, then that isnt it. You did remove that locking plate right? When you finally get the socket on use as long a breaker bar as you can find. If you have anymore probelms, just drop me an e-mail.
