Either use a large flat screwdriver like Bill says or have someone keep a counterload on the other side of the shaft, in front of the engine. That is torqued to 200Nm, the flywheel bolts are torqued to 80-90..

For the seal, you can also use a feeler to make it seat properly while you're tapping it gently with a piece of wood.


Here they are and yes, they're probably dumb questions:

How do you lock the flywheel to unbolt the pressure plate?

How do you drive a new transmission oil seal into place? The manual isn't very clear about this step.
