You'll get lots of response on this and you may want to check the archives for more. I installed the Dinan Stage 1 with Bilsteins because it dropped the car less than an inch (I was worried about ground clearance on our less than perfect roads). The ride is noticeably aggressive, comparable in stiffness/harshness to an M3...maybe even just a tad harsher. You'll have to choose whether that is acceptable.

If I could do it over again, I would probably go with a firmer shock but stock springs (though the lowered car does look better). I live in downtown DC, if I lived in the 'burbs I wouldn't worry so much about the reduced suspension travel from the shorter/firmer springs.
