chances are that one of the three back light bulbs are out. There are two bulbs up top, one on each side of the readout, and one that comes up from the bottom of the module to light the buttons. It's probably one of the side lights.

Replacing them isn't too bad. You slide the radio out - you don't have to disconnect it - and reach in behind the OBC module and feel a release lever and the back left of the OBC. The moudle pops right out and its a simple plug to disconnect. Bulbs are just twist in and I think they were around $1.50 from my dealer.

Should the OBC lighting be comparable in brightness to the radio head unit? I notice the radio always easy to read, but sometimes the OBC needs a little shade applied via my right hand....
