I installed the Stellar Keyless Entry system 6 months ago. I used the wiring diagram in the Bentley manual to determine which wires to use in my trunk actuator. It was much easier to access the trunk than the door, but Stellar gave the wire colors for the door instead of the trunk. I used the equivalent wires as shown in the Bentley manual. However, setting up the remotes to match up with the receiver was not easy. I actually rewired the thing a couple of times before I put it back the way I had it the first time and it worked. I can use it from ~50 with no problems. I did have to move the antenna wire so it was more vertically oriented to improve the remote range.

Good Luck

1. Has anyone attempted an install on a Stellar autoloc keyless entry? I can't do it and my mechanic won't. The "instructions" (I use the word loosely) are confusing to say the least.

2. My car is chipped (Conforti). I had a '94 530i which had tremendous low end torque. People have told me that my 535 would have more low end torque if I put the original chip back in. I have only owned it with the Shark chip and at low end it doesn't compare with the 530. Comments?

Thanks,
Stan
