Ok, I posted last week about if the rear door window switches on a 1989 525i are supposed to light up. The consensus was yes, aslong as the button in the center console(between the 4 window switches) was pushed in. Well regardless, I got a pair of switches today, and they also do not light up, with that button in or out, but the switches do still work, just like the last ones. My questions are... 1-how can I test to see if the bulb behind the switches are burnt out? 2-Should I test the wires too, or should I assuem since the switch itself is working then it should be lit too, meaning that maybe the switches I got today were burnt out when I got them, thanks.
