I have never used the AVS Intermediate. But I did have the A028R on my Mitsu 3000GT. On a scale from 1 to 10, I would give them a 2. Very sticky on the dry stuff, in fact to sticky, I picked up 8 nails in 32,000 miles and two tires had to be replaced because they were severely damaged by the nails. Expected tread life 30,000 miles under moderate driving. On top of that they were slick in the rain.

I have been fairly happy with the Goodyear Eagle (HP's, I think) that were almost new when I got the car. They could be a little stickier on the dry, but all around they have been great. I have 19,000 miles on them and they still look new.
