I am a firm believer in the "circle of repairs" theory. Simply stated you should do any other repairs or parts replacements of wear items when doing a job such as struts. For example when doing struts i might also do the thrust arms, tie rod ends. swaybar links, pads and rotors, etc. while the whole thing is apart. It never fails the just a short time from just a strut job, a thrust arm will fail and damn...you have to tear it all down again. Just my too cents worth. btw. i drive a LOT...my 89 535 is now at 250,000 and I have replaced MANY parts over the last few years. Front end has been done 4 times!
