limit of upper travel it will add resistance to downward shock movement not upward. Instead the shocks are more likely to top out and hit the stops.
Somewhere on the forum I read that the bushing will add resistance to upward suspension movement effectively doubling shock absorber resistance. Since my car rides very hard with HD Bilsteins I'm going to check the bushing preload since the upper bushings were changed near the time of the new shocks. This also might be the reason my strut mount covers keep popping off on hard bumps.
