Well, I guess I am through the first phase of grieving, denial. Now I am moving into the second phase, anger. My car left a jet trail of steam down the highway today, while it sucked a half gallon of water down. Anyone know any common causes for a blown head gasket in a E34 535i? I am wanting to find out if I am in for big bucks with the head, or if replacing the gasket is going to cover it. I thought the warped head syndrome was a thing of the past on the big sixers. What are the reccomendations about having the valves done while the head is off, is it mandatory?
