I've really enjoyed reading all of your posts while researching my next car. I'm currently a 635csi owner, and found out that I have a baby on the way - so I need something more practical (with 4 doors). Based on performance, operating and repair costs, and price - I think that the E34 535i is the best bang for the buck. I was leaning towards the 525i also, but didn't want that feeling of regret that I should have got a 535i if I felt that the car was underpowered.
Anyone know of a good 5-speed E34 535i for sale around the Washington DC area? Thanks in advance.
