If your car has the factory alpine unit which is located under the rear seat, the dealer can identify what the code is, order you a remote or two. It is a pretty simple procedure, and the unit removes in a couple of minutes. My alpine guy took about 15 minutes to remove unit, read the code and reinstall.

What should I ask the Alpine stereo dealer? Is there a specific model number I'm looking for?

Does anyone know where I can get a new remote keyless entry transmitter for my 1995 525i? Just removed the rear seat and noticed the control unit.

Thanks
