No, the product does not leak and is of the highest quality.

But, if the drain plug is mounted directly to the bottom of the oil pan - horizontal to the ground. Then this product is too tall and my catch or hit itself on the ground.

Per the other post person, I use the Griot's garage suction oil pump also. On the 540i, this product will suck as much oil as from draing from the plug. I pulled the pan to check the oil pump bolts - it was pretty dry after the sucking thing.
