If you want to retain the EDC, your only choice is the Dinan/H&R EDC-M5 springs. The weight of the V8 is almost the same as that of the Euro 3.8 litre M5 engine so that's not a problem. The H&R springs will lower your car 1/2" in back and about 3/4" in front from the current 540iSport settings.
Ride quality will not be significantly firmer or harsher than with your EDC set to Sport mode so the modification's main purpose is to lower the car.
Hey all. I'm looking around for suspension options for the M540is. Dinan has something which is rather pricey. H&R have springs for the M5 (with EDC) and 540 (without EDC). Question is, if I get the EDC-compatible springs, will the car sit right? I suppose that's mainly a question about the difference in weight between the 6 cylinder and the 8.
Anyone know? Thanks.
