I removed the rubber cover and perforated metal plate behind the armrest. There is another thick layer of insulation and carpet. Would you guys recommend cutting a hole through that carpet or just remove the whole back carpet totally? Thanks.


If I am not mistaken, it is rubber insert that is separating the interior and the trunk. Whatever it is just remove the cutout portion only. As far as the carpet, yes, just trim it.
