Mine (535) lasted until 150K and ultimately it was the throw out bearing that went, not the clutch.

To make shifting easier, try using Red Line MTL fluid. I will help.

Aww, how nice of you! =) Must be that Christmas spirit!

My 535i clutch just got harder and harder to push, until one day, it just wouldn't go into gear. Coasted to side, and had it towed to the shop. Clutch was COMPLETELY burned out, big pile of dust. Right down to the metal. No slipping or anything.

Only 84,000 miles but daily stop and go driving. No funny noises or noticeable clutch slipping, but sometimes hard to get into first gear. No gear grinding, etc. Better to change clutch now before completely worn out, or wait until slipping and obvious signs of clutch worn out? Thanks!
