A. Symptoms in warm weather or when engine is warm.
With engine shut off for short periods - 15 to 30 minutes engine will not start on first try, Always started on 2nd try with accelerator in idle position.
B. Symptoms in cold weather with engine cold
Car sitting overnite won't start unless accelerator is depressed a little. When engine starts runs very rough but when you lift off pedal runs smoothly at normal idle. Runs fine from then on. It feels like the car is either not getting enough gas at part throttle or is flooded. But there is no gas smell. A few weeks ago I checked the fuel pressure which was within specs and pressure was maintained for at least one hour after engine shut-off.
Also with engine cold and off, key in run, the throttle motor moves (I guess to a cold start idle position) the motor makes a humming noise and vibrates. Don't know if this is normal. Car started fine though.
Any ideas?
