Your head could be warped, thus not providing good seal even with new gasket fitted earlier.Head skimming may be required. It could also be cracked.I would do a thorough head inspection once it is off the block.

Hi,

I have a 1989 (F) BMW 520i 2.0ltr 4dr Saloon.

I had the head gasket blow for which I had repaired but unfortunately about 6 weeks later it went again.

The oil system was saturated with coolant/water giving a milkshake like substance throughout, naturally this is the cause of the overheating.

In your opinion, is this a cracked cylinder head or can there be other underlying causes?

Please help.

Many thanks in aticipation
