Wider e34 grill - How is it done? Bruno? (archive)

Bruno (soon to be wider, and we're waiting for pics), or anyone else, I found a link to a "wider" e34 (following Gordons links below) and I like the way it looks.
I just wonder what it takes to implement. The grill actually looks like they are the grills from a seven. Coincidentally, I just replaced my sevens with chome grills and have the old ones to spare. I wonder if they can be applied to my 535?
