Cracked wood trim on shifter console (archive)

I recently acquired a beautiful '92 535ia; both the interior and exterior are in outstanding condition. The only 'blemish' is a crack in the the flat wood console at the transmission shifter. Although it can be lived with, I would like to replace it if it can be done reasonably. Any suggestions?
