I used this set up with my chamberlin [same as sears] opener that came with a 9v, and it works perfectly. It is a slick setup. Marty 95 525it
My garage door openers run on 1 9V battery, so power one with 12V would be a no-no. Step down to the proper voltage if you're going to do this. It IS a cool idea!
